Wandering Vistas

Wandering Vistas is a new series of paintings that explores the emotional resonance of landscape through colour, memory, and abstraction. These works are not bound by geography—they are imagined places, shaped by light, feeling, and movement.

Working in oil on aluminum, I build layered surfaces that evoke dreamlike terrains—glowing skies, reflective waters, shifting fields. Colour is central to the work, not just as aesthetic, but as emotion. Vivid blues, warm ochres, and luminous greens reflect both the natural world and an interior one.

This series finds kinship with artists like Peter Doig, whose atmospheric scenes blur reality and reverie. It also echoes the kind of contemporary landscape painting celebrated by institutions like MoMA and artists represented by leading galleries such as David Zwirner—work that is rooted in tradition but speaks to the present moment.

Wandering Vistas invites pause, reflection, and escape. For collectors, curators, and galleries looking for bold, thoughtful painting, this series offers a fresh voice in contemporary landscape.
