Helen Brough is a British painter, drawer, sculptor, and installation artist. Educated at Chelsea School of Art in London, achieving B.A.Honors First Class and a M.A in sculpture.

Her awards in England include the Prix de Rome prize at the British school in Rome,and the Prince Charles travel scholarship.The Soros foundation has funded her exhibitions in Romania and Hungary. In America she has received funding from the Pollock/Krasner Foundation and the Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts.

In 2003 she had her first solo show in New York City at Kristen Frederickson Contemporary Art in Tribeca. Since then she has been awarded a Triangle residency for 6 months in DUMBO / Brooklyn, NY and selected for the Triangle workshop in 2004.

Group exhibitions include; Projects "04 at the Islip Art Museum, Islip, New York;" Building Blocks, New Jersey, NJ; A.A.F fair with Lamont Editions, New York; the London Art Fair, with Waterhouse and Dodd and "American Exposure" Curated by Michel Allen, Memphis, TN

In May 2006 the permanent sculpture commission "Emulated Flora" opened at 70 Washington Street, DUMBO / Brooklyn, NY. This piece was commissioned by Jane and David Walentas. In November 2006 until February 2007 a Solo Exhibition "Cataclysmic Hypotheses" was at the Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts in Omaha, Nebraska.

In February 2007 a two person exhibition of new drawings and glass pieces was held at Allen Gallery in Chelsea New York. Several group shows followed including "Jump" at Henry Gregg Gallery, DUMBO, Brooklyn, NY and in December a solo exhibit at SCOPE, Art Basel Miami, Florida with Allen Gallery Booth 27.

In May of 2008 a second solo show in New York with Allen Gallery in Chelsea NY, and two group shows; "Nature Interrupted" at the Chelsea Art Museum, Chelsea, NY curated by Elga Wimmer, and "Curious and Curiouser" at Rebecca Kormind gallery in Copenhagen, Denmark, curated by Alan Rankle.

In 2009 group show "Eye world" at Triple candie in NY, NY. Relocated the studio to London England for the completion of  several European private commissions.

Future projects include the completion of the sculpture commission at "Sonic Union" 19 Union Square West.

She presently lives and works in London, England.
